Raffles Chelsea

287 King's Rd, Chelsea, London SW3 5EW, UK – 020 7351 4964

One of the best late night locations in London. Don't listen to the bad reviews. They are just from the staff at 151 who are a miserable bunch.

Great opening and closing times are great. Prices a bit high and tends to be a bit of a sardines box but all in all a good venue. A bit chav for my taste

Maggie's Club

329 Fulham Rd, Chelsea, London SW10 9QL, UK – 020 7352 8512

It was great place !! All staff are very friendly and kind. Many people were enjoying music and drinking with 80s deco. It was very good atmosphere because music is 80s selection , not too young which is for all . so we can enjoy dancing with some one inside club which is nice !! Also Manager was very attentive. so it is very safe and comfortable . We could enjoyed a lot !! It was great night for us !! We will come back 200% !! See you soon!!

Great place to get wild and enjoy a fun night they have lots of ice cold dom peringnon champange and always gorgeus girls , Friendly staff . Good vibes

Citysalsa London Salsa Classes and Clubs

114 Clapham High St, London SW4 7UJ, UK – 07817 481243

UPDATE: They have restarted classes in the Clapham area and are as good as always. Will be going to classes regularly now and see how it goes. The text below is for people's reference. Archived (2015-2016): A few years ago, they had very good teachers, nice music and good moves. Since then, they have moved their base a few too many times - every time dumping students in the cold, from what I have seen. I have personally been left holding a loyalty card with over 8 classes remaining for a stretch of over 8 months without knowing if they had permanently shut down or not (the only reason I came to know about them reopening is because I was contacted to edit my earlier 1 star review). Most recently, I had a deja vu moment with loads of students turning up at the venue, only to be turned away by the bar security as nobody had been intimated that CitySalsa had shut down for a few months. My recommendation: Go when the classes happen. Don't count on them being regular.

Great classes with amazing atmosphere.

Golf Clubs

Putt in the Park

Albert Bridge Rd, Battersea Park, London SW11 4NJ, UK – 020 7228 4946

Love it, a lot of families there, and can be a bit of a wait between holes. However the operators are aware that children will play, and they make some of the holes a little easier during peak seasons. So things move along at a better pace and you can always get a pint to carry round with you.

Just had this amazing vegetarian sandwich as breakfast! Great place for family and friends.

Putt in the Park

Wandsworth Park, Putney Bridge Rd, London SW18 1PP, UK – 020 8877 0713

I have played a round of golf here twice now and both times I thoroughly enjoyed it. To begin the staff are superb, extremely friendly and seemingly happy in their job. We ordered hot drinks both times to take around with us and they are pretty large, taste great, and a standard price. The course itself consists of 12 holes and is fun to play. While better in warm weather the cold failed to lower our moods. There are some basic rules which I guess are just in place to keep people from being at a hole for a long time and thus holding players up on previous holes. Luckily we played on quieter days and enjoyed a slow pace and even retook a couple of holes to try some trick shots and get some hole in ones (we would not have done this if busy). Overall the experience was great and something I will enjoy doing every now and then. It is a great value at £8 per player and you can go round again for another £4. Definitely worth checking out at least once, especially if you want to waste an hour having fun, either alone of with friends.

Lovely well made and well kept 12 hole mini golf course. Went on a sunny day and it was perfect. Can take your drinks from the bar around with you. Love the water features!

Dolphin Square Fitness Club

Dolphin Square, Chichester St, Pimlico, London SW1V 3LX, UK – 020 7798 8686

Great options for classes, good gym facilities, good size sauna and steam room. Very nice and calm atmosphere for most of the time. unhappy as the children over 12 years old cannot stay longer than little children which I think is unfair to them as there are kids that want just swim the way adults do. Overall, good local gym and spa.

Great place to come in and train! Spin classes are great, plenty of bikes available, friendly staff and a nice pool/sauna/steam room to help relax after a hard training session. Never made use of the squash and tennis facilities but it's nice to know I have the option!

Harbour Club Chelsea

Watermeadow Ln, Fulham, London SW6 2RW, UK – 020 7371 7700

This is a private members health club, so expect all the luxuries this title affords. From valet parking on arrival to a crèche that will keep your children entertained while you explore all the latest gym kit... and spa treatments. As this place they promise you to Experience a different kind of urban escape. Whether you like having exclusive access to up-to-date exercise studios or smashing it like the Fed Express on one of the many indoor tennis courts (more than any club other in the area, they claim). If you like privacy and luxury when you exercise, this is a great place in Fulham to start. Good Luck [F]

Overall, the club is by far the best of any David Lloyd’s. Harbour club Chelsea feels something special when you walk in. The adult swimming area is like a 5 star resort and is so relaxing. The gym is always quiet in the evenings and so you have easy access to everything (they could do with a proper leg press and seated row). Gym is immaculately tidy. Tennis courts are best you will find in the area and the front desk are usually friendly. The classes are not the best for the evening, but you have access to Fulham which is down the road and has some of the better teachers (or you can drive down to Raynes park which has great classes and a lovely outdoor pool). I do think the club should invest in paying more to attract for example the stronger spin teachers such as Anthony Garcia as they should compete with the boutique studios rather than just average class teachers. But overall the club is amazing and I would highly recommend. Also people wise, the biggest asset of the club is Nicola James who used to be assistant manager and now looks after the spa- however despite not being in her old role, she still looks after the members and would always be the person I would approach on any issue and she is so responsive and genuinely cares about the business and makes sure all is resolved. She must be the number one David Lloyd employee in the country. The one thing I hope is that the harbour club brand (well Chelsea) does not go downhill with it’s asssociation with Kensington which is not really a true harbour club and is just like the old David Lloyd (with the poorest studio classes of any David Lloyd I’ve been to) with a name change. If you go to harbour club Kensington, do not think that Chelsea is similar as it is in a completely different league! Highly recommend Chelsea to anyone looking for an overall premium leisure centre which feels like a 5 star resort! And make sure you visit Nicola and book a spa treatment!
