Ibis London Earl's Court Hotel

47 Lillie Rd, Earls Court, London SW6 1UD, UK – 020 7610 0880

We booked a double bed room for 7 nights. It was well maintained. The downside: the air conditioning was very London style and the room was hot when you come back from a hot July afternoon. There was no fridge as well. The upside: The staffs at the service desk, information counter and breakfast were very nice and helpful.

Clean. Good location, walking distance from 24/7 convenience and subway station. No soap / shampoo in the washroom. Front desk reception was mediocre: dismissive, had to send 5 emails back and forth before i was able to confirm that I'd be able to do early breakfast. They were very nice in making the breakfast for our group early. Dinner restaurant selection didn't reflect my vegetarian requirements

Park Plaza London Riverbank

18 Albert Embankment, Lambeth, London SE1 7TJ, UK – 0333 400 6120

Nice hotel, restaurant was great. Strange atmosphere inside, it is very dark in the corridors and the lifts. Makes it seem a little seedy, however rooms are excellent. Clean, and we'll kitted out. Great views of the Thames. Strange that lifts don't have a floor number display that tells you where it is!

Great hotel excellent amenities and facilities. We arrived early after a long flight they got us into a room straight away. Excellent when you have been travelling 24hrs on a plane. No worries about giving this hotel and its staff this rating

Georgian House Hotel

35 - 39 St George's Dr, Pimlico, London SW1V 4DG, UK – 020 7834 1438

My husband, two children (2 & 7wk old), and I stayed here and couldn’t have been happier with this hotel! Their staff was PHENOMENAL! Ms. Mari went above and beyond to make our room and stay so prefect. Mr. Daniel was superb with our booking and Mr. Quince was so kind to us. Their breakfast was out of this world- I’d go back even just to dine for lunch, Tea etc.! We can’t wait to visit London again soon and stay at this hotel. (After two other hotels in town, we have finally found the perfect place to stay time and again!) thank you so very much for making our stay over the top with your kindness, service and not to mention... the hotel is gorgeous inside!!! Our room was so lovely. Cheer to you three! ❤️ Beautifully decorated, to say I’m obsessed is an understatement. A perfect 10 in my book!

After an exhausting journey with 3 children we were greeted at the Georgian House Hotel by Daniel and the team - what a relief! we had been quite concerned by some of the previous reviews we had seen on the site but i am really glad to say that we had a fantastic few days stay at the Hotel and would not hesitate to return if possible in the future. We stayed in the annex just around the corner- we found the rooms spotless, in good condition, lots of nice little touches in the room ( as a mother of 3 i find very little time to " pamper " myself but on this occasion i certainly took advantage of the opportunity) :) There was also a coffee machine with various types of coffee, bottled water and the best addition was the Handy mobile which guests are able to take out with them ( which came in very handy on the second day when we got lost on the way home) The rooms were warm at night but that is to be expected, it was the height of summer and - as we were aware before our arrival - there is no a/c on site, however, we did have 3 fans in the rooms which were sufficient ...The breakfast each morning was delicious with fresh produce, cereals, fruits, cheeses, croissants etc and apart from this you can also order from the menu for a small additional cost. Overall, we found Daniel and the team very professional, polite and ready with a warm welcome - A big THANK YOU for all your hard work and we hope to be able to return one day. Amanda, Steven and the boys.

Pubs, Gastro Pubs and Bars

The Stonhouse

165 Stonhouse St, London SW4 6BJ, UK – 020 7819 9312

This pub is a gem, really pretty and welcoming; the rear garden is delightful. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The food is absolutely delicious.

A gem. A great find just a few minutes walk from Clapham Common. It's in the middle of a council housing area but don't let that put you off. The food was excellent, not expensive and the service second to none. More of a restaurant than a pub, very good value. Give it a try.

The Bobbin

1-3 Lillieshall Rd, London SW4 0LN, UK – 020 7738 8953

A bit farther out of the way. I will bring this up with the Irish fellow in the dog park who recommended it. We felt like Indiana Jones by the time we found it. It is off the beaten path. Once we completed our quest we had a cold frosty pint of Fosters. Again no Stella. My heart grows more and more broken. A lovely, jolly, dog friendly pub however and if you are nearby you should definitely give it a try. Which unless you are very local you will have to google your way!

Great pub away from the crowds of clapham. Feels more local. Lovely beer garden and conservatory as well as nice soft furnishings inside. Great wine list. Nice menu. We shared an antipasto platter which had a good meat to veg ratio, all tasty. Service was spot on.

The Sun

47 Old Town, London SW4 0JL, UK – 020 7622 4980

OK pub, but staff really lack training. A new and fairly rough-looking young crowd, one in particular who spent a whole shift throwing bottles into the bottle bin, so they smashed every time. Obviously she didn't realise people go to the pub to have a nice relaxed time. Poor dress code and underwear showing; management please have a word.

One of my favourite local pubs in the Clapham area. Staff are always brilliant, lovely atmosphere and the food is always that of too standard. Brilliant Sunday roasts and even make adjustments if you ask, brilliant and I can never fault them.

Travel Super Market search and compare prices for hotels all over the world. Could also be useful for you. I This said I was told by a hotelier that the way to get cheap rooms is to ring up the week before and ask for the weekend rate. You can usually get an absolute bargain as they will trying to book all the rooms that they have not sold! Could be worth a try!
